About Us

Cononley Village Institute is owned and operated by a Charitable Trust (“The Cononley Village Institute”), charity registration 223015.  The Trust's charitable purpose is to operate the building for the benefit of the people of Cononley, and the Trust both manages and maintains it as well as organising community events.  The Institute has been a key part of the village for over 110 years old!  You can read about its history here.

There is only one Trustee: The Cononley Parish Council.   The Parish Council is corporately responsible for the Trust.  It is supported by an Advisory Group and a caretaker, who between them manage the day-to-day activities, and organise the community events.  The Advisory Committee: has 6 members:
